Seven Hogs to Participate in MLB Draft Combine

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – An SEC-leading seven Razorbacks, including pitchers Hunter Dietz, Colin Fisher, Gabe Gaeckle, Ethan McElvain and Carson Wiggins as well as catcher Ryder Helfrick and infielder Camden Kozeal will participate in the 2026 MLB Draft Combine taking place from June 23-26 in Phoenix at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

MLB Network will have exclusive coverage live from Chase Field on Tuesday, June 23, beginning at 11 a.m. CT. MLB Network’s stable of personalities, including Greg Amsinger, Mike Lowell, Dan O’Dowd, Lance Brozdowski, Jim Callis, Jared Carrabis, Harold Reynolds, Dan Plesac and Xavier Scruggs, will provide analysis and breakdowns as the players undergo their pro-style showcase workout. Interviews with players and Club personnel will be featured as part of the coverage, which will also be streamed live on MLB.TV, MLB.com and in the MLB App. In addition to MLB Network’s coverage on June 23, the draft combine workouts on June 24 will be streamed across MLB’s digital platforms.

The top 300 draft-eligible players, as identified by MLB Clubs, have been invited to attend the draft combine along with up to 50 supplemental invites. The Combine will provide an opportunity for players to participate in a series of medical and performance assessments as well as educational programming designed to prepare them for careers in professional baseball. All players will have the opportunity to participate in a pro-style showcase workout as well as strength and performance assessments.

This year’s draft combine will feature 335 prospects, including 195 collegiate players and 140 high school athletes, as well as a decorated group of former Major League players and coaches, members of Club baseball operations departments, scouting directors and other Club personnel. In 2025, 256 of the 309 players who participated in the combine were selected in the MLB draft (82.8%), including 87 of the first 100 picks.

The 2026 MLB Draft takes place from July 11-12 during All-Star Week in Philadelphia. The draft will feature 20 rounds across two days. The opening night of the draft, which will feature 135 picks in total, will include the first four rounds, compensatory rounds, competitive balance rounds and prospect promotion incentive rounds.
