Shaner Earns SEC Community Service Team Honors

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 21 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.

Representing the Razorbacks this season is Reilly Shaner, a graduate from West Des Moines, Iowa earned SEC Community Service Team honors for her efforts in the Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas area. Her community service work includes volunteering at Burn Boot Camp a fitness program for the women of Northwest Arkansas as well as EMPOWER, a four-year, non-degree college life program for people with intellectual disabilities. She has volunteered for the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Hospital Family Day and the Tyson Food Truck, where she helped with loading and delivery of food to Northwest Arkansas food banks. Shaner has also spent her time working with Shop with the Razorbacks and as an EMPOWER Mentor at the Arkansas HPER. In addition to this, Shaner serves as the SAAC Community Engagement Chair.
