Slaughter Named to SEC Community Service Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Junior Claire Slaughter has been named Arkansas’ representative on the 2022 SEC Women’s Tennis Community Service Team, the league announced Wednesday.

In a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments of student-athletes beyond the field of competition, Slaughter was one of 14 members named to the Community Service Team for the 2021-22 season.

Claire Slaughter is involved in numerous community service projects in the Northwest Arkansas community. Claire’s impact on the community has involved writing letters to health care workers and veterans, volunteering at the First School’s Fall Festival, and helping fundraisers for St. Jude’s. Claire is also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee where she works on various other community service projects.

In addition, Slaughter is a member of Tri Delta sorority where she is involved in fundraisers for their philanthropy, St. Jude’s. She is also a member of the pre-law society and was named to the Chancellor’s List for her academic success last semester. Claire has been named to the SEC Community Service Team once before in the 2020-21 season.
