Smith on Bob Cousy Award Watch List
FAYETTEVILLE – Razorback freshman Jordan Smith Jr. is one of 20 candidates named to the 2027 Bob Cousy Award watch list, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced today.
The annual Bob Cousy Award, named after the Class of 1971 Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic and Holy Cross guard, celebrates its 24th year by highlighting the top point guard in NCAA Division I men’s college basketball.
Smith will look to join former John Calipari-coached guards Tyler Ulis (2016) and Darius Acuff Jr. (2026) as winners of the prestigious award.
Smith was the consensus National High School Player of the Year last season. He was a McDonald’s All-American, played in the Nike Hoops Summit, played in the Jordan Brand Classic, and was selected first team All-American by MaxPreps, USA Today, Sporting News and Naismith Awards.
Arkansas will play its second and final exhibition on Wednesday (Oct. 28) versus the Memphis Tigers. Tipoff is set for 7 pm and the game will be broadcast on SEC Network+. The gam eis not part of the 2026-27 season ticket package and fans can PURCHASE TICKETS HERE.
