Soccer Adds Morgan White to Roster
Head coach Colby Hale has announced the addition of All-Sun Belt forward Morgan White as a graduate transfer.
“Morgan White has electric pace,” Hale said. “She indicated in her recruitment that she wanted to test herself against some of the best players in the world and be part of what we are building. She is an exciting addition to our program.”
White has played the last four seasons at Marshall. As a senior in 2022, she became a key contributor for the Herd and appeared in all 19 matches. She finished with the second-most goals (9), the second-most points (17), the fourth-most goals per game (0.47), and the fourth-most points per game (1.16) in the Sun Belt Conference to earn First Team All-Sun Belt and United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region Third Team honors.
She notched her first collegiate brace against App State on Sep. 25, which included the game-winning goal in the 87th minute. She finished 2022 with four assists, including an assist in Marshall’s 2-1 win over App State in Sun Belt Tournament. White recorded 1,380 minutes throughout the season.
In total, Morgan appeared in 55 matches for the Herd and started in 45. She notched 41 points on 15 goals and 11 assists over four seasons.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, White led Fairfield High School to a conference championship and notched 18 goals and 17 assists in her senior season. She is the daughter of Nancy, a women’s basketball player at Tennessee-Chattanooga, and Anthony, a football player at Morehead State.
