Soccer adds pair of transfers

FAYETTEVILLE – Razorback head soccer coach Colby Hale has announced the addition of two transfers to this fall’s roster.

Kate Doyle | Forward | Graduate | Seattle, Wash. | Roosevelt HS/Gonzaga | 5-6

  • Ranks in the top 10 for career goals (16), assists (12), points (44), and game-winning goals (6) at Gonzaga
  • Netted seven goals and two assists in her injury-shortened senior season (2023) and scored in all six of her appearances
  • Scored three goals as a junior (2022) and earned All-WCC Honorable Mention honors
  • Recorded three game-winners as a sophomore (2021) and was named WCC Player of the Week
  • Placed on the WCC All-Freshman Team in her inaugural season (2020-21) after appearing in all 11 matches
  • Three-time member of Gonzaga University’s President’s List and a member of the WCC Academic Honor Roll
  • Only played soccer for one year in high school, her freshman year, and was named Washington 3A All-State
  • Transitioned to club play for Crossfire Premier SC
  • Will study accounting and business administration
  • Brother, Thomas, played basketball at Chapman University

Doyle on why she chose Arkansas: “I felt like the opportunity to play for one of the best teams in the nation and challenge myself to compete at this level was something I couldn’t pass up. Talking with the coaches made me feel it would be a great fit in terms of play style and my values as a player.”

Audrey Shackelford | Midfielder | Freshman | Sacramento, Calif. | Rio Americano HS/Utah

  • ECNL All-Conference player for San Juan SC
  • Played in the ECNL Phoenix National Selection Game
  • Enrolled early at the University of Utah before transferring to Arkansas
  • Will study communications
  • Father, Ron, played soccer at San Francisco State University

Shackelford on why she chose Arkansas: “I chose the University of Arkansas because of their winning mentality and competitive atmosphere. The coaches are awesome, and will push me to be the best player and person I can be.”
