Soccer Earns Spot in NCAA DI Committee's Top 16

INDIANAPOLIS – The Arkansas soccer program was ranked No. 13 in the NCAA DI Committee’s In-Season Top 16 rankings, announced on Sunday during halftime of the Duke-North Carolina match on ESPNU.

The rankings include results through October 11. The Razorbacks dropped their first match of SEC play at Georgia, 1-0, on Thursday, October 10.

The top 16 rankings correspond with the top four seeds in the NCAA Tournament. At No. 13, Arkansas would be a 4-seed if the season were to end on Sunday.

The ranking is based on the criteria used to select and seed the 64 teams for the Division I Women’s Soccer Championship, and in no particular order includes strength of schedule, Rating Percentage Index, head-to-head competition, results versus common opponents, strength and results against non-conference opponents, late-season performance in the last eight games and strength and results against conference opponents.

The 2025 championship field will consist of 30 automatic qualifiers and 34 at-large selections, which will be revealed on Monday, November 10 at 3:00 p.m. CT on NCAA.com.

The tournament opens on Friday, November 14. The championship will take place at campus sites through the quarterfinals as teams vie for a spot in the Women’s College Cup.

Arkansas will return to action on Thursday, October 16, against Alabama at Razorback Field.
