Soccer Ends Week with Western Michigan and Michigan State
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas soccer (2-1-0) will finish its three-match homestand with two teams from the state of Michigan.
The Razorbacks will face Western Michigan (0-2-1) on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. The two teams last met in 2008 in Fayetteville, where the Hogs earned a 1-0 victory.
Arkansas will then face Michigan State (3-0-1) on Sunday, Sept. 4 at noon to round out the weekend. The two teams have never met on the pitch. The Spartans will play Dartmouth at home before making the trip to Fayetteville.
WMU is coming off a 1-1 tie with Detroit Mercy. The goal, scored by Bronco midfielder Bria Telamaque, is their only one of the 2022 season. The squad has also faced Notre Dame and Butler.
Meanwhile, Michigan State is one of 13 teams in the country that has not conceded a goal in the 2022 campaign. Goalkeeper Lauren Kozal was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and a Big 10 Player to Watch.
Both matches will be live streamed on SEC Network Plus with Brett Dolan, Josh Haley, and Steven Blackiston on the call.
The Hogs look to continue their home dominance, where they own a 46-8-2 record dating back to 2016.
