Soccer Finishes Undefeated in Spring Exhibition Season

FENTON, Mo. – Arkansas soccer notched its fifth and final win of the spring exhibition season and took down Illinois, 3-2, to finish undefeated.

The match, held at World Wide Technology Park, featured five first-half goals by both teams. The Illini got on the board first with two goals in the first 15 minutes.

The Hogs followed up with three unanswered goals scored by forwards Anna Podojil and Taylor Berman, and midfielder Patricia Tsokos to take the victory.

The Razorbacks outscored their spring opponents 14-2.

Hear it from Coach Hale

“Today was good. We could’ve scored a couple early but we didn’t capitalize and gave up our first 2 goals of the spring. The players figured it out and responded well. We grew; it was a good spring. We have areas to work and build on and we have some areas that were encouraging. We’re excited to get to work in the fall.”

The Hogs will return to the pitch in August to begin the 38th season of Razorback Soccer.
