Softball Signs Sprindale Native Henderson

FAYETTEVILLE- University of Arkansas softball head coach Jamie Pinkerton continues to pen his first recruiting class with the addition of Springdale, Ark., native, Kirby Henderson.

Henderson transfers from Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Okla., and currently hosts a .400 batting average, 48 hits and 28 RBIs for the Vikings this season.

Pinkerton said he believes Henderson will give the Lady Razorbacks significant experience as Carl Albert played in the Junior College World Series last season.

We expect her to bring that work ethic and leadership to our program,”Pinkerton said. “She will be a valuable asset that will provide quality depth and versatility to our program.”

In her senior season at Springdale High School, Henderson was an all-state selection and offensive player of the year. As a Bulldog, Henderson led the team to four consecutive state playoff appearances.
