Spangler Named To 2020 SEC Women's Basketball Community Service Team
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Grayce Spangler was named to the 2020 SEC Women’s Basketball Community Service Team, the league office announced today. This marks the 22nd year for the SEC Community Service Team for women’s basketball as well as for men’s basketball. All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men’s and women’s sports being chosen from 1999-2003.
Spangler has been very involved in her home community this year. She has volunteered at places like the New School, as well as with the Fearless Food Fight, while also helping put on a banquet on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. She also participated in Shop with A Hog, a program that takes children Christmas shopping, and helped coordinate donations to the Potter House for Children during the Holiday Season.
She was also active away from Fayetteville, as she was part of Arkansas Women’s Basketball’s efforts to provide relief to those affected by hurricanes in the Bahamas, while also spending time with children at the Little Rock Children’s Hospital before the Hogs played in Little Rock. Spangler is also involved on campus, as she is part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, as well as being a part of the HOGSPY planning committee.
