BIRMINGHAM – Razorback senior Steven McElroy will represent Arkansas along with Peyton Whipple from Razorback soccer among 29 Southeastern Conference student-athletes participating in the 10th SEC Career tour on December 2-4 in Atlanta.

The group is scheduled to visit the headquarters and meet with executives at several corporations and organizations in the Atlanta area including Mercedes Benz Stadium, The Coca-Cola Company, GoTo Foods, State Farm Arena, South Downtown Atlanta and Chick-fil-A.

A three-time All-America, McElroy has competed with Arkansas track and field the past two seasons after transferring from Cincinnati. In 2024, McElroy was a member of the Razorback 4 x 400m relay that set a school record of 2:58.83 while claiming a silver medal at the NCAA Championships.

The 29 student-athletes will begin the three-day event at the site of the SEC Championship Game where they will meet with Mercedes-Benz Stadium staff and take a tour of the facility.

Also included on the agenda during the week is a visit with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and executive coaching by Randy Hain, founder and president of Servian Partners and co-founder of the Leadership Foundry.

The goal of the career tour is to provide exposure for SEC student-athletes who are seeking career opportunities in various fields. The program allows student-athletes to connect with human resource recruiters and submit resumes for entry-level jobs, internships and gain valuable knowledge of professional branding.
