Strathman Grabs Another Weekly Honor

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After swimming to a pair of individual wins and on one victorious relay team in Arkansas’ 187-101 win over Illinois on Jan. 30, Madison Strathman has been named SEC Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Strathman is now one of just four swimmers in SEC history to earn the honor a league-record four times in a single season.

The Kearney, Missouri, native took first in the 100 breast (1:04.60) and 200 breast (2:17.12) and was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:43.68). She has placed first in each of her last five individual events over the past three dual meets.

The Razorbacks have now garnered six SEC weekly individual honors, the most in single-season program history.
