Chris Litt

Chris Litt joined the University of Arkansas Sports Medicine Staff in March of 2009 as an assistant athletic trainer for football and is currently entering his 5th season. In addition to his role as an assistant athletic trainer Litt also serves on the University of Arkansas’ Athletic Directors Council on Diversity as well as the Southwestern Athletic Trainers Association’s Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee.

Prior to joining the staff at Arkansas, Litt spent the 2008 season as the head athletic trainer for the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. In his role as head athletic trainer, Litt was responsible for all aspects of athletic training and medical care of the team including evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of athletic injuries. Litt served in the same capacity for the Colorado Crush of the Arena Football League from 2006-2007.

Before moving to Colorado, Litt worked as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer in 2005 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. From 2004-2005, he served as the head athletic trainer for the men’s basketball team and assistant football athletic trainer at Jacksonville University. His experience also includes working as an intern athletic trainer for the NFL’s San Diego Chargers (2001-2002) and MLB’s San Diego Padres (2000).

Litt began his career in athletic training working with the Chula Vista High School football program and later became the head athletic trainer, responsible for all aspects of athletic training and medical care for all student sports at Horizon High School in San Diego, CA.

A graduate of San Diego State University, he earned his Bachelors of Science in kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training in 2002. He and his wife, Shadaya, have two daughters: Adaischa and Aalani.
