Corey Wood completed his 13th season as athletic trainer for the Arkansas baseball program in 2024.
Wood joined the Razorbacks as part of the athletic training staff in June 2011. He spent the previous two years working at Wichita State as a graduate assistant trainer.
While working with WSU’s baseball team, he was responsible for the Shockers’ day-to-day injury prevention and rehabilitation. Wood also served as the host athletic trainer for the 2011 Missouri Valley Conference baseball tournament and was an intern for the WSU strength and conditioning staff for a year.
Prior to WSU, Wood worked as an intern with the Cleveland Indians during spring training in 2009. He directed the aquatic therapy sessions and oversaw strength activities.
Wood earned his bachelor’s degree from East Carolina in May of 2008 and his master’s degree from Wichita State in May of 2011.
A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Wood and his wife, Laura, have a daughter, Ryleigh, and a son, Wyatt.
