Courtney Day

Following a standout collegiate playing career, highlighted by her senior season as a Razorback, Courtney Day transitioned from a standout player to a graduate manager on head coach Courtney Deifel’s coaching staff in August of 2025.

Day finished her player career at Arkansas in 2025 after a one-year break in which she served as the head softball coach at Tarkington High School in Cleveland, Texas, following spending the 2019-2023 seasons as a student-athlete in Texas.

As a player, Day was named to the WCWS All-Tournament Team in 2022 while at Texas and was a Third-Team NFCA All-Central Region selection in 2025. She finished her career with a .320 batting average, 167 hits, 34 doubles, three triples and 42 home runs. Day drove in 159 runs and scored 99 runs while posting an impressive 1.058 career OPS.

During her senior season at Arkansas in 2025, Day batted .329 with 47 hits, 12 doubles, a triple, 16 home runs and 68 RBI while posting a .762 slugging percentage and a .476 on-base percentage. Her 68 RBI were the most in program history. Day finished the season ranked 11th nationally and third in the SEC in RBI per game (1.26) and ninth in the SEC in home runs per game (0.30).

In her season as a head coach at the high school level in 2024, Day led Tarkington High School to a 15-13-1 mark, according to MaxPreps and an appearance in the Texas 4A State Playoffs. The 15-13-1 record was tied for the best by a Tarkington team since at least 2006. In addition to coaching softball, she also taught math.

During her four seasons in Austin (2020-23), she posted a .317 batting average and .395 on-base percentage with 120 hits, 22 doubles, two triples, 26 home runs, 63 runs scored, 44 walks and 91 RBI through 176 games played. She has registered 23 multi-hit games and 24 multi-RBI games during her Longhorn career.
