
Three Razorbacks Participate as Main Draws Begin
TULSA, Okla. – The main draws of the singles and doubles brackets at the ITA All-American Championships began today as the Arkansas men’s tennis team had three members of the squad in action.
Jakub Vrba was first up in singles play, facing off with No. 18 Paul Inchauspe (Princeton) in the Round of 64, falling to him, 4-6, 2-6. This loss sends Vrba into the consolation bracket of the main draw, where he will face Henry Jefferson (Florida) at 11:30 a.m. CT on Thursday.
No. 27 Lukas Palovic began his singles main draw play this afternoon, falling to No. 26 Loren Byers (Ohio State), 3-6, 4-6. He will face No. 35 Top Nidunjianzan (Princeton) in the consolation bracket at 1 p.m. CT tomorrow.
No. 25 Connor Smillie and Jakub Vrba played in their first match of the week as the Round of 32 in the doubles main draw commenced. The duo lost to No. 4 Albert Pedrico Kravtsov and Cosme Rolland De Ravel (TCU), 6-7 (11), 3-6. Three
