COLUMBIA, Mo. – Bailey Zimmerman had a career-best 14 points leading four Razorbacks in double figures but the University of Arkansas suffered a 67-56 Southeastern Conference road loss at Missouri on Sunday.

Zimmerman tied her career-best with four made field goals and had a career-high three 3-pointers in 32 minutes for Arkansas (13-12, 2-10 SEC). Sophomore Malica Monk reached double figures with a steal and layup late in the game for her 11th 10-plus point game of the season.

Arkansas started well and kept the game close for much of the first period but the Tigers managed a 6-0 run after the media timeout to take a four-point lead after the first 10 minutes.

Missouri (17-9, 7-5 SEC) continued to stretch the lead in the second frame opening up a 10-point advantage and forcing an Arkansas timeout. The Tigers began the game going 9-for-12 from 3-point range and finished the half with 10 baskets from distance.

Arkansas’ defense stepped up early in the third quarter and held the Tigers without a point for 4:27. The Razorback offense closed the gap to 11 points during that stretch.

The Tigers led by as many as 17 but the Razorbacks put together some tough defense in the fourth frame cutting the lead to seven with just under two minutes to play. Missouri went cold, going without a basket for back-to-back two minute stretches but Arkansas was unable to get any closer.

Arkansas finished with a season-low five turnovers and forced 14 Tiger miscues. The Razorbacks had eight 3-pointers and 31 rebounds but couldn’t overcome 13 made 3-pointers by Missouri.
