TJ Tomlyanovich earns second Academic All-America honor

FAYETTEVILLE – For the second consecutive year, Razorback junior TJ Tomlyanovich received Academic All-America distinction among men’s track and field/cross country as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Tomlyanovich was named third team Academic All-America for the second time. The Arkansas men’s program has a total of 22 Academic All-America honors from 20 athletes.

One of four athletes from the SEC to be named Academic All-America in 2025, Tomlyanovich joins Oklahoma’s Ralford Mullings and South Carolina’s Dylan Targgart, who were both first-team selections, along with Missouri’s Callan Saldutto on the second team.

Joining Tomlyanovich in earning Academic All-District honors this season were Razorback teammates Davis Helmerich and Brevin Sims.

Tomlyanovich produced a 4.0 GPA this past year while taking graduate courses in finance and had a 3.93 GPA as an undergrad in Finance Real Estate.

During the 2025 season, Tomlyanovich earned first-team All-America in the 4 x 400m relay as Arkansas produced a bronze medal finish with a season best time of 3:01.59 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

At the Mt. SAC Relays, Tomlyanovich placed ninth in the 400m with a 45.81 effort, then anchored the Razorbacks 4 x 400m relay to victory with a late surge at the finish line. With a 45.67 split from Tomlyanovich, moving from third to first, Arkansas finished in 3:01.82 to place ahead of Arizona State (3:01.85) and South Florida (3:02.13).

Tomlyanovich also earned first-team All-America indoors in placing eighth in the 400m at the NCAA Championships, posting a time of 46.27.
