Track and Field to Compete at Olympic Trials
EUGENE, Ore. – Members of the Arkansas Lady Razorback track and field team will compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field over the next several days. Competition begins Friday, June 27 and ends Sunday, July 6.
Denise Bargiachi (10,000 meters), Dacia Barr (1,500 meters) and Katie Stripling (pole vault) are the current Lady’Backs that will be competing. Barr and Stripling are set for their respective events but Bargiachi’s entry is still pending and could be decided the day of the race.
The list of former Lady’Backs competing includes Amy Begley (5,000 and 10,000 meters), Jessica Cousins (400 meters), La’Shaunte’a Moore (100 and 200 meters), April Steiner (pole vault), Nicole Teter (800 meters), Christin Wurth-Thomas (1,500 meters) and Jodi Unger (pole vault).
