Two additions announced to Razorbacks 2022 signing class

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas women’s track and field announced two additions to its 2022 signing class with Brooklyn Biancamano and Ariane Linton signing a national letter of intent to join the Razorbacks next fall.

Biancamano, of Long Beach HS in Long Beach, Mississippi, is a five-time Mississippi Gatorade Athlete of the Year, who earned a fourth Mississippi 5A State cross country title this season. Her winning time of 18:03.6 over 5k was the fastest among all-classes in the State meet, improving on her 2020 winning time of 18:15.6.

Biancamano has earned three Gatorade state honors in cross country along with a pair in track and field. Her total of five accolades currently only trails the six Gatorade honors accumulated in Mississippi by Cory McGee.

Linton, of Dutchtown HS in Geismar, Louisiana, was the 2021 Louisiana 5A State champion in the 100m (11.39w) and runner-up in the 200m (24.12w). She was also a bronze medalist in the 100m at the 2019 Louisiana State meet. Indoors, Linton won the 2019 State title at 60m (7.62) and finished second in 2020 (7.58).

During summer competition in 2021, Linton placed sixth in the 100m at The Outdoor Nationals. In 2018, Linton was the bronze medalist in 400m at the USATF National Junior Olympics. Current career best marks for Linton include 7.55 (60m), 11.39w, 11.63 (100m), 23.96w, 24.18 (200m).

Following her State cross country title this fall, Biancamano placed fifth in the Nike South Regional. During the 2021 track season, she claimed State titles in the 800m and 3,200m with a runner-up effort at 1,600m. Biancamano added gold in the 3,200m at the RunningLane Track Championships in the summer.

In 2019, Biancamano earned three State titles at 800m (2:14.86 PR), 1,600m (4:54.58 PR), and 3,200m to repeat her triple winning performance from 2018. As an eighth grader in 2017, she won State in the 1,600m and was third in the 800m. Her best time at 3,200m is 10:53.16.
