Six Razorbacks Compete on Day Two of ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team had six members of its squad competing Sunday in Tulsa, Okla. at the ITA All-American Championships. Both Gabriel Elicha Navas and Ben Weintraub were in action in the Round of 128 of prequalifying in singles, while the rest were in consolation bracket action.

Elicha Navas fell to Nicholas Heng (Auburn) in two sets, 6-7 (2), 2-6. Weintraub lost a hard-fought match against Wil Jenkins (New Jersey Tech), 3-6, 7-6 (4), 3-6.

In the prequalifying singles consolation bracket, Eric Padgham fell to Constantinos Djakouris (North Carolina), 1-6, 1-6.

On the doubles side, Palovic/Pougault secured a 7-5, 7-6 (5) victory over Dinh Viet/Kruger (Weber State) to move on to the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket. Boland/Elicha Navas lost their Round of 16 match to Branchetti/Fairclough (Gonzaga), 3-6, 4-6. Palovic/Pougault will face Branchetti/Fairclough in the quarterfinals, with the time and date to be determined.
