Two Razorbacks Named to MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas forwards Parker Goins and Anna Podojil were named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, announced by the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) on Thursday.

Goins finds herself back on the list this year after also being included for the 2020-21 season. Goins started in all 16 matches for the Razorbacks this past season and led the team with eight goals. She was selected by Racing Louisville FC as the 21st pick of the 2021 NWSL Draft.

Podojil makes her second appearance on the list as well, finishing as a semifinalist in 2020. Podojil, Arkansas’ first United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American in program history, netted seven goals in the 2020-21 season. She led the SEC in assists and earned SEC Forward of the Year, also the program’s first in history, after her sophomore campaign.

Goins and Podojil, who were both named to the SEC Preseason Watch List earlier this week, earned first team All-SEC honors in 2020 and led Arkansas to its second-straight SEC regular-season title.

The MAC Hermann Trophy is awarded based on the votes of Division I coaches. It is given to the United Soccer Coaches National Players of the Year in Division I on both the men’s and women’s sides. Semifinalists will be announced on Nov. 30, with the winner revealed on Jan. 7, 2022, in St. Louis, Mo.
