Volleyball to Host Kentucky for Mid-Week Action

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- The Arkansas volleyball team will host No. 11 Kentucky Wednesday night for the team’s final mid-week home match of the season.

All-Time Series vs Kentucky

Sunday’s match against the Wildcats will be the 41st meeting between the two teams, and the Hogs have dropped the last eight matches. This is the second match for the teams this season, with Kentucky earning a 3-0 victory in September.

Last Time Out

The Razorbacks split play last weekend, sweeping Georgia and falling 3-1 to LSU. The straight-set victory over Georgia was Arkansas’ third sweep on conference play. Freshman Gracie Ryan had a career-high four aces over the Bulldogs, while sophomore Hailey Dirrigl had a career-high .567 hitting percentage.

Where They Rank

With four matches left in SEC play, the Hogs are tied for eighth place with Alabama in the conference standings. Sophomore Hailey Dirrigl comes in at No. 7 in kills/set, averaging 3.60 with 292 this season. Junior Rachel Rippee is seventh with 8.37 assists/set, recording 703 in 23 matches. Freshman Lauren Evans’ 0.34 aces/set are sixth in the SEC while senior Okiana Valle is at the top of the league with 5.09 digs/set.

The match will be streamed on ESPNU, with first serve set for 5 p.m.
