Vrba Becomes First Razorback to Qualify for NCAA Singles Championships Since 2022 Season

ANN ARBOR, Mi. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team will have its first representative at the NCAA Singles Championships since the 2022 season, as Jakub Vrba achieves the feet on Saturday morning.

Vrba’s victory over No. 60 Connor Henry Van Schalkwyk (Baylor), 1-6, 6-3, 6-3, brough his win total throughout the fall to nine. An astonishing five of those wins have been ranked upsets, with wins over No. 30, No. 60, No. 87, No. 100 and No. 110 in the ITA preseason rankings.

The last player to qualify for the NCAA Singles Championships for the Razorbacks was Alex Reco from the 2021-22 squad, who made it to the second round of the tournament.

The NCAA Singles Championships will take place in Orlando, Fla. from November 18-23. He will be the only representative for the Hogs.
