WBB Preview: Arkansas hosts Texas Tech

FAYETTEVILLE – The Razorback women’s basketball team (6-5) will host Texas Tech (9-2) on Sunday afternoon in Bud Walton Arena. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. inside Bud Walton Arena with Brett Dolan (play-by-play) and Matt Zimmerman (analyst) on the SEC Network Plus call.

Arkansas leads the all-time series against Tech, a former Southwest Conference foe, with a 19-9 record. The Razorbacks are on a two-game winning streak against the Lady Raiders as the two teams last played in the WNIT on March 24, 2023 with Arkansas winning by a 71-66 score. The Hogs have never lost to Texas Tech in Fayetteville.

Arkansas will look to win its third straight game, after taking down SEMO, 84-45, last Sunday. The Hogs had four players in double figures and led by as much as 43 points. In the second quarter, Carly Keats shot lights out from three-point range and drilled four straight treys to score the most points in a quarter for a Razorback this season. This started what would end up a 40-1 run by the Hogs.

Texas Tech is coming off a 61-57 loss at SMU on Wednesday night. Junior Jasmine Shavers led the way for the Red Raiders with 15 points and four rebounds, while also picking up two assists.
