Women's Basketball Travels to Little Rock for First Road Game

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas women’s basketball takes its first road trip of the 2024-25 season to Little Rock. The contest is the Hogs’ first of three against in-state opponents this year.

Tipoff at the Jack Stephens Center is set for 7:00 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Dorian Craft (play-by-play) and JB Brazeal (analyst) on the call. The game will also be broadcast on the radio, with Phil Elson calling the action courtside.

  • After the 40+-year ban on Arkansas schools being able to play one another in the regular season, Monday’s game marks the sixth straight year the Hogs will play Little Rock  The Hogs are 16-1 vs. in-state opponents since 2019-20 and 6-0 against the Trojans.
  • Arkansas’ records against in-state schools: Little Rock (6-0), Central Arkansas (4-0), UA-Pine Bluff (3-1), Arkansas State (3-0) 
  • The Hogs will face Little Rock, Arkansas State and Central Arkansas this season
  • The Razorbacks are coming off their first win of the 2024-25 season after taking down East Texas A&M last Friday, Nov. 8. JUCO transfer Kiki Smith, last season’s NJCAA DI Women’s Basketball Player of the Year and First Team All-American, was key to the hot start, shooting 3-3 with two three pointers. Smith paced the Hogs with 22 points and shot 89% from the field and 2-3 from the charity stripe. The Topeka, Kansas native stayed perfect until missing a heat check three with 6:30 remaining in the fourth quarter.
  • The Razorbacks finished the day with four players in double figures: Kiki Smith (22), Izzy Higginbottom (19), Vera Ojenuwa (16) and Jenna Lawrence (10).
  • Jenna Lawrence, coming off her first career double-double (10 pts, 11 rbds) against Fairfield, followed it up with another double-double (10 pts, 10 rbds) against East Texas A&M on Nov. 8
  • The 2024-25 roster features five international players from five different countries: Phoenix Stotijn (The Netherlands), Cristina Sanchez (Spain), Pinja Paananen (Finland) and Danika Galea (Malta).
