Women's Tennis Lands Brooke Schafer Ahead of Spring Season
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas women’s tennis head coach Tucker Clary has announced the signing of Tennessee transfer Brooke Schafer ahead of the 2025 season.
“We are thrilled to add Brooke to the family here,” Clary said. “She’s been one of the top American juniors over the past couple of years and we are excited to get to work right away this spring.”
Schafer joins the Hogs after spending the fall semester of her freshman season at Tennessee and will compete for the Razorbacks during the upcoming dual season. Schafer comes to Fayetteville with a career-high ITF Junior ranking of No. 177 while amassing 29 singles wins and 22 doubles victories from 2021-23 in ITF Junior tournaments. Schafer captured her only ITF Juniors doubles title at the J4 Corpus Christi in October 2021.
Schafer attended Laurel Springs High School in Cumming, Ga. and was the nation’s No. 59 overall recruit in the Class of 2024 according to Tennis Recruiting Network. The four-star prospect was ranked No. 6 in the state of Georgia and No. 22 in the Southeast Region.
“She brings a game and attitude that our staff truly believes in. The sky is the limit with her potential and our job is to help her reach it.”
