
Women’s Tennis Plays Host to No. 35 Alabama Friday, Mississippi State Sunday for Senior Day
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas women’s tennis team (4-16, 1-12) return to Billingsley Tennis Center for the final time this season as they take on No. 35 Alabama (12-12, 3-10) on Friday, April 11 at 5 p.m. and Mississippi State (10-13, 0-13) on Sunday, April 13 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.
The Razorbacks dropped each of their matches last weekend, falling 4-0 to both No. 10 LSU and No. 32 Ole Miss.
Prior to the match on Sunday, the Hogs will be honoring seniors Olga Bienzobas and Grace O’Donnell for Senior Day. Bienzobas, a transfer from Louisiana Tech, has accumulated 50 singles wins in her career and was a First Team All-Conference USA member in 2024. O’Donnell is a four-year player for the Hogs and sits tied for fifth all-time in program history for doubles victories by a Razorback pairing. O’Donnell and recent graduate Lenka Stara amassed 35 doubles wins together as O’Donnell was also recently selected for the 2025 SEC Community Service Team.
No. 35 Alabama is coming off a doubleheader against Alcorn State, winning both matches 4-0 on Monday, April 7. The Crimson Tide are led by No. 53 Petra Sedlackova and Klara Milicevic, who have mainly played at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions this season and have obtained 14 singles victories combined this spring. In doubles, the tandem of Maria Andrienko and Maria Martinez Vaquero are ranked No. 73 and have recorded seven wins this season.
Mississippi State is 10-13 overall and 0-13 in SEC play after a 4-0 loss to No. 14 Texas last Sunday. Gianna Oboniye headlines the Bulldogs’ lineup at the top spot and has earned six dual wins this year. Mississippi State also features No. 46 Oboniye and Athina Pitta, who have posted 10 dual victories this spring.
