Women’s Tennis Sweeps Oral Roberts for First 4-0 Start Since 2021
Arkansas women’s tennis have started their season off 4-0. This is the best start for the Razorbacks since the 2021 season.
During the first match, the Hogs struck quick, taking 2 of the 3 doubles matches to go up 1-0 early. Carolina Gomez and Anet Koskel took down Ava Goodell and Cecilia Franzin, 6-1. Then Jimena Gomez-Alonso and Brooke Schafer def. Miranda Noor and Cassie Cervantes, 6-1.
The Razorbacks didn’t let up, they won 3 singles matches to seal their 4-0 victory. Anet Koskel took down Cassie Cervantes, 6-2, 6-0. Then Brooke Schafer def. Cecilia Franzin, 6-2, 6-1. Sealing the victory, Jimena Gomez Alonso took down Natalie Perez, 6-0, 6-1.
After a break, the Razorbacks returned to action taking 2 of the 3 singles matches again. This time Katarina Pavlechova and Alexandra Panagiotidou took down Annalise Deer and Natalie Perez, 6-0. Then Jimena Gomez-Alonso and Brooke Schafer def. Miranda Noor and Milana Bozhko, 6-0.
The Hogs brought the heat and won 3 singles matches to close it out. Alexandra Pangiotidou took down Annalise Deer, 6-0, 6-1. Katarina Pavlechova def. Cassie Cervantes, 6-0, 6-1. Then to close out the match, Anet Koskel took down Natalie Perez, 6-2, 6-1.
