Zimmerman Earns SEC Honor

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas graduate student Bailey Zimmerman earned selection to the 2019 Southeastern Conference Women’s Basketball Community Service Team the league office announced today.

Zimmerman, a 6-0 forward from St. Vincent, Arkansas, is the 21st Razorback selected to the SEC Community Service Team. She graduated in December with a degree in apparel merchandising and is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Arkansas.

Zimmerman is active in a variety of community service projects in Northwest Arkansas. During her senior season, she has taken part in a visit to the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Hospital, made several appearances at area elementary schools as part of the department’s Sweat Hogs program to encourage physical activity for all students, helped coordinate Angle Tree donations for Potter House, volunteered at the Alumni House and went shopping with area youth over the holidays.

Zimmerman is also a member of the Arkansas Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She has paced the Razorbacks to a 17-11 record and a 6-8 mark in conference play. Zimmerman and the Razorbacks host Missouri Thursday in an 8 p.m. tip and travel to Texas A&M on Sunday as the regular season concludes.
