10 Things To Know – Tennessee
Following last weekend’s SEC road opener at Texas A&M, the Hogs return inside the friendly confines of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium to host 15th-ranked Tennessee. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, on SEC Network.
1 – Saturday’s matchup will be the 22nd meeting between the programs, with Tennessee leading the all-time series 14-7. Arkansas has won four of the last five contests in the series dating back to 2011 and the last four meetings in Fayetteville. The Hogs took the most recent matchup in Fayetteville with a 19-14 win over the fourth-ranked Vols on Oct. 5, 2024.
2 – LB Ben Bogle recorded 16 tackles in last week’s matchup at Texas A&M. His 16 tackles in the contest were the fifth-most nationally in a single game this season and the most by a Hog since Drew Sanders recorded 16 on Oct. 8, 2022, at No. 22 Mississippi State. The Ponte Vedra, Fla., product leads Arkansas in tackles this season with 35. He is two tackles shy of matching his season total of 37 from a year ago while at West Virginia.
3 – Through the first five games of the season, Arkansas has recorded 57 passing plays of 10 or more yards, good for third most among SEC teams and tied for the 14th most among FBS teams.
4 – WR Chris Marshall has led the Razorbacks in receiving yards in each of the first five games this season. He is the first Arkansas receiver to accomplish the feat since Derek Russell in 1990.
5 – Arkansas has scored in 63 consecutive games, which is the sixth-longest streak in program history and the longest since a 64-game streak from Nov. 14, 1987, to Nov. 11, 1995. Arkansas was last shut out on Oct. 2, 2021, in a loss to No. 2 Georgia.
6 – RB Braylen Russell led Arkansas with 40 yards rushing on seven carries at Texas A&M last weekend, highlighted by a game-long 30-yard rush in the third quarter. The 30-yard scamper was his longest rush since a 75-yard run in a 58-25 win at Mississippi State on Oct. 26, 2024.
7 – Since 2021, the Razorbacks’ opponents are averaging 2.5 false starts/delay of game penalties per contest in games played at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
8 – The Razorbacks’ 237 consecutive extra-points made streak, which began on Dec. 5, 2020, is the longest streak nationally by date.
9 – Arkansas ranks third in the SEC in fewest penalty yards per game, averaging 48.40 per contest.
10 – Arkansas is seeking to win five consecutive games in Fayetteville over the same league opponent for the first time since 2010-2022, when the Hogs won five straight games over Ole Miss in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
