After beginning the Ryan Silverfield era with a win against North Alabama on Sept. 5 in the season opener at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, the Hogs are set to embark on their first road trip of the campaign. Arkansas and No. 20 Utah square off for the first time in history at 9:15 p.m. CT Saturday, Sept. 12, on ESPN from inside Rice–Eccles Stadium.
1 – While television coverage is slated to begin at 9:15 p.m. CT, Saturday’s kickoff time of 9:25 p.m. will tie the latest kickoff time in program history, alongside the Hogs’ matchup at USC on Sept. 17, 2005.
2 – DB Khmori House led Arkansas’ strong defensive showing in the season-opening win against North Alabama on Sept. 5, racking up three total tackles with two tackles for loss and a sack. The transfer from North Carolina earned All-ACC honors last year after finishing the campaign as the Tar Heels’ top tackler.
3 – Along with a new coaching staff, Arkansas’ roster features 81 newcomers, including 36 new offensive players, 40 new defensive players and five new specialists. The Razorbacks return just 40 players from last season, including 22 returning offensive players, 15 returning defensive players and three returning specialists.
4 – WR Chris Marshall, a transfer from Boise State, was Arkansas’ leading receiver in the season-opening win against North Alabama on Sept. 5, catching seven passes for 79 yards (11.3 avg.). Marshall’s seven receptions were the most by an SEC receiver and ranked 22nd among FBS receivers during week one. The Missouri City, Texas, native is expected to be the Razorbacks’ top pass catcher after he had 30 receptions for 574 yards and two touchdowns with the Broncos last season.
5 – The Razorbacks registered 41:25 minutes of possession time in the Week 1 win over North Alabama, the most by an Arkansas team since Sept. 30, 2017, during a 42-24 win over New Mexico State, when the Razorbacks held possession for 41:35. Ryan Silverfield owns a 31-12 overall record when winning the time of possession margin.
6 – Arkansas has scored in 59 consecutive games, which is the sixth-longest streak in program history and the longest since a 64-game streak from Nov. 14, 1987, to Nov. 11, 1995. Arkansas was last shut out on Oct. 2, 2021, in a loss to No. 2 Georgia.
7 – QB KJ Jackson became the first left-handed Arkansas quarterback to start a season opener since QB Barry Lunney Jr. in 1995 when he lined up under center in the 2026 season opener against North Alabama on Sept. 5. He completed 24-of-35 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns in the Hogs’ win to become the ninth Arkansas passer since 1995 to throw for three or more touchdowns in a season opener.
8 – The Razorbacks’ 231 consecutive extra-points made streak, which began on Dec. 5, 2020, is the longest streak nationally based on date.
9 – During last Saturday’s win over North Alabama, the Arkansas defense allowed 0 yards in the first quarter. It marked the first time the Hogs allowed 0 or fewer yards in the first quarter since Nov. 15, 2014, when they yielded -1 yards during a 17-0 win over No. 20 LSU. It also marked the Razorbacks’ first shutout in the first quarter since Sept. 7, 2024, when they accomplished the feat in a loss at Oklahoma State.
10 – Ten of the Hogs’ 12 regular-season foes were ranked or received votes in the preseason AP Top 25: No. 3 Georgia, No. 5 Texas, No. 8 Texas A&M, No. 11 LSU, No. 20 Tennessee, No. 21 Utah, No. 25 Missouri, RV South Carolina, RV Vanderbilt, RV Auburn. Arkansas is looking for its first road victory over a ranked non-conference opponent since a 41-38 (2 OT) win at No. 15 TCU on Sept. 10, 2016.
