2020 HOGSPYs: Male Rookie of the Year
The male rookie of the year award recognizes a standout rookie who demonstrated outstanding athletic performance and academic achievement. A rookie is defined as any freshman student-athlete in their first year of competition at the University of Arkansas.
The nominees are:
Treylon Burks (FB)
- Played in 11 games and started nine as a freshman receiver for the Razorbacks in 2019 – used in every aspect of the offense, receiving, rushing, throwing and as a returner on special teams.
- Hauled in 29 passes for 475 yards, leading the team in receiving yards. Finished second on the team in all-purpose yards with 866, averaging 78.7 per game.
- Averaged 16.4 yards per catch and 43.2 7ards per game, both second among conference freshmen.
Jeremy Farr (TF)
- Career best of 46.05 won Tyson Invitational, defeating a field which included 2020 world leader.
- First season running indoors, No. 8 on Arkansas all-time list, No. 12 on Jamaica all-time list.
- One of three freshmen to qualify for NCAA Indoor 400m field.
- Silver medalist on SEC Indoor 4x400m relay.
Robert Moore (BSB)
- Started all 16 games as a freshman for the Razorbacks in 2020, enrolling at the mid-year, playing all of his games as a 17-year-old.
- Hit .317 at the plate with 20 hits, 17 RBIs, 10 runs, two home runs – one of three Hogs with 20 hits on the year.
- Earned Perfect Game National Player of the Week, SEC Co-Player of the Week and SEC Co-Freshman of the Week throughout the season – was also featured on SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays for his glove flip of a ground ball against Gonzaga.
Myles Richter (XC)
- First Razorback finisher in NCAA Cross Country Championships, 13th among freshman in field.
- All-SEC Freshman team, placed 18th overall, 3rd among freshmen.
- All-South Central Region, placed 15th overall, 4th among freshmen.
- Earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honor.
