Series History
Arkansas and UIC have met eight times in history, with all eight previous meetings occurring in the Dave Van Horn era.

The Razorbacks own a 7-1 series lead, most recently sweeping the Flames in a three-game set at home during the 2005 season. Arkansas also swept UIC in a three-game series at Baum-Walker Stadium during the first ever meeting between the two programs in 2003, Van Horn’s first year on the job.

Leading Off

  • Arkansas has put together three consecutive winning weekends to begin the 2022 season, kicking off the year with a series win against Illinois State. The Razorbacks then went down to Round Rock, Texas, and won two of three games in the Round Rock Classic before winning last weekend’s series against Southeastern.
  • Arkansas is amid a 13-game homestand, the team’s longest scheduled stretch of consecutive contests played at Baum-Walker Stadium since 2019.
  • The Hogs, who have not lost a non-conference series at home since 2014, are 607-227 (.728) all-time at Baum-Walker Stadium, including 475-164 (.743) in 20 seasons under head coach Dave Van Horn.
  • True freshman Austin Ledbetter will make his first career start on the mound in game two of Thursday’s doubleheader. The Bryant, Ark., native made his collegiate debut against Southeastern last Friday, turning in 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief with five strikeouts. Ledbetter did not allow a hit or walk in his outing.
