Acuff and Thomas on Earn Midseason Honors

FAYETTEVILLE – Razorback signees Darius Acuff Jr., and Meleek Thomas were two of 25 players selected to the 2024-25 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Boy’s High School Player of the Year Midseason Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced. Acuff was additionally one of 10 players named to the MaxPreps National Player of the Year watch list.

Acuff was recently named co-MVP at the City of Palms Classic where he averaged 31.5 points, 6.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. For the season, he is averaging 24.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 37.3 percent from 3-point range. IMG Academy is 13-2 this season and ranked #1 in the nation by MaxPreps as well as #3 in the nation by ESPN.

Thomas is averaging 28.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game for the City Reapers this season.

Acuff and Thomas are listed among the nation’s top 10 recruits by ESPN.com, ranking as the top two point guards in the country, respectively. Acuff is additionally considered the nation’s top point guard by 247Sports and On3Composite. Thomas, a consensus top-11 recruit, is the top-ranked shooting guard by 247Sports and the #2 shooting guard by On3, Rivals and 247Sports.
