Aloy Earns Spot on Brooks Wallace Award Watch List

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Wehiwa Aloy has earned a spot on the watch list for the 2024 Brooks Wallace Award, which honors the nation’s top collegiate shortstop.

The Razorback shortstop, one of 100 players on this year’s watch list, has started all 41 games and is slashing .294/.406/.503 with a team-leading nine home runs and a team-high 42 RBI on the year. Aloy also boasts a team-leading seven stolen bases and has committed just four errors in 109 total chances this season.

The award will be presented by the College Baseball Foundation later this year. It is named for former Texas Tech shortstop Brooks Wallace, who played for the Red Raiders from 1977-80 and died of leukemia at the age of 27.
