Arkansas Gymnastics Unveils Schedule for 25th Season
The Gymbacks will begin their 25th season in program history in January, and the full 2027 competition slate is now set.
Arkansas has 11 regular season meets on deck with five at home in Bud Walton Arena. BWA will also serve as a regional site, bringing postseason gymnastics action to Fayetteville for the second time in three seasons.
Fans can get a first glimpse of the 2027 squad at the annual Gymback Preview, slated for Friday, Dec. 18 at 6:45 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena.
The team gets the season started with back-to-back home meets. The first a tri-meet with SEMO and West Virginia on Jan. 8 and the second the Razorbacks’ SEC opener against Florida on Jan. 15. The Gymbacks hit the road for the first time take on the Auburn Tigers on Jan. 22, and close out the month back at Bud Walton on Jan. 29 vs. Alabama.
A jam-packed February is in store for Arkansas with five meets, four of those being on the road. It all starts with an SEC dual meet against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens on Feb. 5. The Gymbacks then have a double weekend, with a Friday contest at Texas Woman’s on Feb. 12 and then a short road trip to Fort Worth on Feb. 14, where the Razorbacks will again face the TWU Pioneers along with Utah State and Boise State for the Metroplex Challenge. Arkansas returns home on Feb. 19 for a dual against Missouri, and caps off February in Norman, Okla. to take on the defending national champion Sooners on the 26th.
The Gymbacks have two regular season meets in March: the first is their home finale against LSU on March 5 and the regular season closer on March 12 at Kentucky.
The 2027 SEC Gymnastics Championships will be held In Tampa, Fla. At Benchmark International Arena on March 20. Tampa is the site for both the 2027 and 2028 championships.
Regional sites for the 2027 NCAA Gymnastics Championships include Fayetteville (Arkansas), Denver, Colo. (Denver), Athens, Ga. (Georgia) and Raleigh, N.C. (N.C. State) and will run March 31-April 4. Arkansas will host nine teams over three days of competition April 1-4 as two fight for a bid to the NCAA Championships two weeks later.
The NCAA Gymnastics National Championships will again be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, April 15-17.
Gymnastics ticket information will come later this fall, along with meet themes and television designations.
