Arkansas Hosts SEMO in Friday Matinee Meet

Before the winter weather rolls into town, the No. 8 Gymbacks will host the SEMO Redhawks in a Friday afternoon contest at Bud Walton Arena at 1 p.m.

SEMO and Arkansas have met seven times dating back to 2004 and in that time the Gymbacks have an unblemished 7-0 record. Six of those seven contests have come in Fayetteville.

The Redhawks have competed twice this season with a team high of 193.350 last week. They defeated three other teams on the day at the Windy City Invite. SEMO is ranked the highest on beam at No. 34, where the Redhawks are currently averaging a 48.663 event score.

The Gymbacks got their first victory of the season at home last Sunday as they took down the No. 11 Auburn Tigers 197.250-196.075. Arkansas bested Auburn on all events and took first individually on vault, bars, beam and all-around. Redshirt junior Lauren Williams scored a huge 9.975 on vault to tie the program record and is currently ranked No. 1 in the country on the event. Williams was named SEC Specialist of the Week on Tuesday after her standout performance.

Admission to the meet will be free. Fans with tickets who can no longer attend can contact the Ticket Center at 479-575-5151 to exchange tickets for a future 2026 meet.

Parking will be available in Lots 320-322. Only the south entrance of Bud Walton Arena off Nolan Richardson Dr. will be accessible for the meet. Doors will open at 11:45 a.m. with team intros at 12:45 and first vault at 1:00.

The meet will be streamed live on SEC Network+ with live scoring provided by Virtius.
