Arkansas Set For NCAA Fayetteville Regional

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Making its 14th consecutive NCAA Regionals appearance, the Arkansas gymnastics team learned which teams will join them in the NCAA Fayetteville Regional, as the NCAA Championship field was unveiled Monday afternoon.
Arkansas will be joined by seeded teams No. 4 Utah, No. 9 Denver and No. 16 California, as well as fellow SEC foe Auburn and Central Michigan in the regional, which will compete Saturday, April 1 at 4 p.m. in Barnhill Arena. The regional will also include four all-around competitors and two individual specialists per event.
Tickets are on sale now through the Razorback Ticket Center. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 17 and under, and $5 for students at any college or university with student ID. Fans can purchase tickets online or by calling the Razorback Ticket Center at 800-982-HOGS or 479-575-5151. All tickets are general admission.
Arkansas was one of six predetermined campus sites selected to host an NCAA regional, along with Florida, Illinois, Nebraska, Washington and West Virginia. It is the fifth NCAA regional hosted by Arkansas and the first since 2014.
The Razorbacks enter the NCAA Championship ranked No. 27 in the nation with a regional qualifying score (RQS) of 195.775, highlighted by a three scores of 196-plus this season, including a season-best 196.375 in a win at No. 17 Auburn.
Arkansas scored a 194.900 for an eighth-place finish at the SEC Championship this past weekend. Hailey Garner earned All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman honors with a 9.875 on uneven bars, while Jessica Yamzon earned SEC All-Freshman honors with a 38.825 in the all-around.
Arkansas’ rotations will start on balance beam, followed by a bye, and then floor exercise and vault, followed a second bye. Arkansas will then finish the meet on uneven bars.
