
Arkansas To Compete In Season's First Quad
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 21 Arkansas gymnastics team will travel to Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday to compete in the Metroplex Challenge. The Razorbacks are scheduled to compete against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 7 Denver and No. 15 Missouri.
Arkansas and Missouri’s matchup this weekend will count towards its conference record. Arkansas traveled to Columbia last season for its conference meeting, and competed against the Tigers a total of three times in 2018.

Second Metroplex Appearance
Arkansas is competing in the Metroplex Challange for the second time in program history. The Razorbacks competed at the event in 2015 against then No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 LSU and Iowa State, finishing third overall. Saturday, the Razorbacks will be competing against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 7 Denver and No. 15 Missouri in what is the first of three regular-season quad meets for the Gymbacks. Arkansas travels to Elevate the Stage later this season and host a quad meet on senior day inside Barnhill Arena.
On The Road Again
Arkansas’ meet on Saturday marks the third of four-consecutive road trips for the Gymbacks. Arkansas picked up a win two weeks ago at Arizona, winning its first road dual meet since Feb. 2, 2017 against Auburn. The Razorbacks return home Feb. 8 to host the Alabama Crimson Tide. Meeting Again
Arkansas faced off against then No. 2 Oklahoma to open the season Jan. 5. Arkansas fell to the Sooners in week one, as it last competed against Denver and Missouri in 2018. In the Razorbacks’ last matchup with Denver, they set a new team record score of 197.300 on March 16 of last season.
Carter Remains Arkansas’ Highest Ranked Gymnast
Sophomore Sophia Carter remains Arkansas’ highest ranked gymnast on an event, coming in at No. 12 on the floor in Road To Nationals weekly individual rankings. The sophomore has posted a 9.950, a 9.875 and a 9.900 on the event in her three meets this season to lead Arkansas to a No. 14 team ranking on the event.
