Arkansas Welcomes Florida For Final Conference Meet

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas gymnastics team returns to Barnhill Arena Friday night at 6:45 p.m. to host the Florida Gators in the final Southeastern Conference competition of the season. Tickets for the meet can be purchased here.

CARTER AMONG AMONG LEAGUE’S ELITE
Sophomore Sophia Carter reigned supreme once again in her showcase floor routine against LSU, recording her third 9.95 of the season as the team’s anchor. The Blue Springs, Missouri native is one of three gymnasts in the league to record three or more scores of 9.95 on the event as she ranks seventh-nationally on the floor, third-best in the SEC.

HAMBRICK STICKS YURCHENKO 1.5
Freshman Kennedy Hambrick stuck her Yurchenko 1.5 to earn a career high score of 9.900 against LSU. The score ties Arkansas’ highest on the event and is the highest by a freshman at Arkansas since Amanda Wellick’s 9.900 on vault in 2014.

ARKANSAS EARNS SEASON HIGH ON FLOOR
The Razorbacks put together a solid floor routine against LSU, posting five scores of 9.825 or higher to record a 49.350 on the event. The score was not just a season high on floor, but on any event for the Gymbacks this season.

WELCOMING HOME ALUMNI
Arkansas will welcome over 25 former gymnasts, including Two-Time National Champion Katherine Grable and former Co-Head Coach Rene Lyst, back to Barnhill Arena for a special pre-meet recognition.

PROMOTIONS
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for youth 17 and under and free for UA Students.

  • All kids are encouraged to bring their favorite dolls & stuffed animals to the meet.
    • Giveaway: Kids 12 and under may register to win 1 of 6 American Girl Dolls.
    • University of Arkansas Faculty and Staff may show their UA ID for $2 tickets.
