Bellegy, Palovic Win on Final Day of PTT 25K Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Three members of the Arkansas men’s tennis team concluded their week at the PTT 25K Fayetteville on Saturday with Arthur Bellegy and Lukas Palovic winning their final matches of the event.
Two Razorbacks faced off in the finals of the 2nd place playoffs with Palovic defeating Božo Barun in three sets as Barun retired down 0-1 in the final set after trading 6-4 set wins to open the match. Palovic totaled five victories on the week while Barun grabbed four wins during the tournament.
Bellegy picked up his third consecutive victory and earned the 5th place playoffs title on a walkover as he was scheduled to play Stefanos Savva Saturday afternoon.
The Hogs will be back in action next week as various members of Arkansas’ squad will compete in potentially four overlapping tournaments from Nov. 7-10.
