“Beyond Regulation” set to premiere on Hogs+ this fall

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – It’s a game that will always live in Arkansas Football lore.

The latest installment of Hogs+ Original Films will be unveiled this fall as “Beyond Regulation” tells the story of one of the most legendary nights in college football history.

The film will take fans through an in-depth dive into the instant classic that took place on November 3, 2001 between the Razorbacks and Ole Miss. Just a few years after new overtime rules were revised in college football, the two teams battled back-and-forth in an epic seven-OT game, which set the record at the time for the longest game in college football history.

Led by the breakout performance of a young Matt Jones and a dramatic victory over future No. 1 NFL Draft pick Eli Manning, the Razorbacks found themselves at the center of a game that would go down in the NCAA record books.

Through candid interviews with the players, coaches and people who lived it, “Beyond Regulation” goes far beyond the highlights to tell the story of the heart, resilience, and unforgettable moments that cemented this game as one of the greatest in not only Razorback, but college football history.

The film will feature interviews with key players, coaches and staff — Matt Jones, Eli Manning, Houston Nutt, Tony Bua, Jermaine Petty, Kenny Sandlin, Bobby Allen, Richard Smith, Dowell Loggains, Steve Shaw and many more notable names from the historic night.
The film is set to premiere this fall on Hogs+ as well as Hogs+ TV streaming apps and the Arkansas Razorbacks mobile app.

“Beyond Regulation” is the latest production from Emmy-winning Hogs+ Producer Haley Ordway, whose previous films include “One Five”, “Resurgence,” “Redemption,” “Walk on Air,” “Do You Believe in Fairy Tales,” “Why Not You: The Lance Harter Legacy” and mini-series “Switzer” and “100 Seasons of Razorback Men’s Basketball.”
