Cami Weaver Earns SEC Community Service Team Nod

For her tremendous efforts in the gym and out, Cami Weaver has earned a spot on the SEC Gymnastics Community Service Team, the conference announced Thursday.

Cami has been extremely dedicated to the Northwest Arkansas community throughout her time as a Gymback, and that has only grown in her fifth year. She serves as the gymnastics team’s Community Engagement Liaison for Arkansas’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and has volunteered her time with five different organizations this year, including 7 Hills Homeless Shelter, The Boys and Girls Club, and the Veteran’s Hospital.

Cami has also helped organize some of Flagship’s annual events such as Shop with the Razorbacks, the Friendsgiving Donation Drive, Salute to Veterans, and Book Hogs. Cami and her teammates have been consistent members of the RazorVets program, which is a a biweekly initiative intended to help local veterans get active.

In addition to her community service and athletic efforts, Cami has always been a great student. She’s currently working on her master’s degree in operations management and is a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll nominee.

Weaver has competed in all but one meet for the Gymbacks on vault, beam, and new this season, floor, with season highs of 9.850+ on all of them.

Cami and the Razorbacks begin their postseason journey this Saturday, March 21 at the SEC Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Arkansas has been seeded sixth and will compete in the first session of the day at the BOK Center at 2 p.m. All action will be broadcast live on SEC Network with live scoring provided by Virtius.
