Clark tabbed First-Team Academic All-American
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Hudson Clark has been named a First-Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators becoming the 21st Razorback in school history to earn the honor.
Clark posted another stellar season in 2023 after earning First-Team All-SEC recognition from USA Today in 2022. This past season, Clark recorded 51 tackles with a career-best 4.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, one interception and a fumble recovery while playing in all 12 games with 10 starts at multiple positions in the Arkansas secondary. He picked off his fifth career pass in the season-opening win over Western Carolina. He made a season-best eight stops at LSU and logged multiple tackles in all but one game, making three-plus tackles in each of the final nine games during the 2023 season.
In the classroom, Clark graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in finance and a minor in marketing during the fall of 2022. He is currently enrolled in the Walton College of Business and pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a 3.6 GPA. He was a semifinalist this past year for the prestigious Campbell Trophy, also known as the Academic Heisman, and was selected as a member of the National Football Foundation’s Hampshire Honor Society. He is a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and a two-time Burlsworth Trophy nominee.
Clark joins a short list of Razorbacks to have earned Academic All-America status and the first since Brooks Ellis captured the honor in consecutive years in 2015 and 2016. Quarterback George Walker was the first Hog to be named an Academic All-American when he was selected in 1955.
