Following a successful career as a student-athlete, Kiara Gianfagna has joined the Arkansas gymnastics staff as a graduate student coach for the 2024-25 season.
Gianfagna competed for the Gymbacks from 2020-23 and made an impact on all events throughout her four seasons. After contributing as a solid all-arounder her freshman year, she primarily competed bars and beam in her sophomore and junior campaigns and scored 9.8+ in 21 of 33 appearances on the events.
Her senior season proved to be her best ever on beam, with seven of nine beam appearances going 9.8+. Kiara also set a new career high of 9.900 on the event on Feb. 3 against Florida, and scored it again on Feb. 24 against Missouri, both top five finishes.
Gianfagna earned SEC Academic Honor Roll status in each season at Arkansas and was also a four-time WCGA Scholar All-American. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2023 and is currently pursuing her master’s in School Counseling. In addition to her role with gymnastics, Kiara is also working as an Academic Support GA with the Office of Student-Athlete Success.
