Kat Devenport Named Region 3 Gymnastics Administrator of the Year
For her instrumental role in a historic season for the Gymbacks, Arkansas athletics chief of staff and gymnastics sports administrator Kat Devenport has been named the Women’s College Gymnastics Association Region 3 Administrator of the Year.
Devenport played a critical part in several of the program’s milestones this season, including the promotion and execution of season ticket sales, which Arkansas broke a record in for the third straight season with 2,480.
Kat helped facilitate Arkansas’ fourth- and fifth-ever regular season gymnastics meets at Bud Walton Arena in 2024, which saw a combined 17,113 fans. She’s also been a leader in the planning, execution, and organization of the this week’s NCAA Gymnastics Fayetteville Regional, the first time Arkansas has hosted in eight years and the first-ever at Bud Walton Arena.
In an effort to streamline live scoring and improve in-venue score presentation, Devenport spearheaded a partnership with Virtius for the season, which has been a largely successful and impactful for fans, coaches, and athletes.
Devenport’s honor is the first of her career as a gymnastics sports administrator, the first for the program since Chris Pohl in 2021, and fifth ever.
