Fassi Steady, Benton Rises

GUADALAJARA, Mexico – University of Arkansas senior Maria Fassi remained steady in round two of the Mexican Amateur Championship at Guadalajara Country Club in Jalisco, Mexico, on Monday.

Fassi, who has won three of the last four Mexican Ams, remains tied for second place with a 2-over 146. She is four shots back of the leader with two rounds to play.

Senior Kaylee Benton jumped 12 spots from a T-16 into fourth lace with a 1-under 71 on Monday. She is plus-4 and in the clubhouse with a 148.

Senior Dylan Kim is also in striking distance in a T-7th shooting 150 with rounds of 72-78.
