Hogs at No. 5 in NCBWA Preseason Poll

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas checked in at No. 5 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association’s preseason poll.

A record 12 SEC teams are ranked among the preseason top 30 (the remainder of the NCBWA polls will have 25 placements), including five programs in the top 10. It marks Arkansas’ fifth top 10 ranking of the preseason, as the Razorbacks were previously ranked No. 4 in Perfect Game’s preseason top 25, No. 5 in USA Today’s preseason coaches poll, No. 7 in D1Baseball’s preseason top 25 and No. 10 in Baseball America’s preseason top 25.

Arkansas, led by 24th-year head coach Dave Van Horn, opens the season against Big 12 foe Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, in the Shriners Children’s College Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
